P&O's Azura Delivered

The 116,000-ton Azura was delivered to P&O at Fincantieri's Monfalcone (Italy) yard on Friday. The ship is the fifty-third cruise ship built by Fincantieri, and 49 have been for Carnival Corp. Fincantieri has an additional ten on order for delivery through 2012.

Azura is a sister to Ventura, but has its own decor as can be seen in the atrium (above).

The Marquis Bar looks like the only thing it's missing is customers.
While the furniture is in place, lots still needs to be done before Azura is ready for passengers, such as stocking the library's shelves with books. Azura will be christened by ballerina Darcey Bussell in Southampton on April 10, 2010.
