Costa Serena

The first block of Costa Serena was laid last Friday (Sept 16, 2005) at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponte yard. This block is about 56 feet by 72 feet, weighing about 500 tons and is part of the ship's aft end section.

Costa Serena is a sister of Costa Concordia, which can be seen in the background. Costa Serena will be delivered in May 2007.
