| Royal Caribbean's 160,000-ton Independence of
the Seas arrived at Ft. Lauderdale for the first time this morning,
becoming the largest cruise ship ever to homeport at Port
Everglades.
The port says that in one year alone, Independence of the Seas will bring nearly 160,000 passengers to Broward County (Florida), who will help support more than 420 local jobs and generate an economic impact of approximately $67.5 million. |
