Queen Mary 2 is shown here cruising under San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, on its way into the bay for its maiden call at San Francisco. Yesterday afternoon, as QM2 sailed under the bridge, it exchanged salutes with the landmark, blowing its deep baritone whistle (which was part of the original Queen Mary), and the salute was returned by the bridge's foghorns. QM2 made an unusual overnight call at San Francisco Sunday night, and will depart Monday evening at 8pm and continue on its 80-day world cruise.
